Spahr’s is a family-owned and operated produce farm near Lillington, south of Cary in Harnett County.

Greenhouse crops

We produce crops year-round hydroponically in our greenhouses. You’ll find tomatoes, grape tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, green beans and lettuce.

Field crops

These are our seasonally available crops, from strawberries in early Spring, to peppers and squash into the Fall. They include tomatoes, sweet and hot peppers, cucumbers, pickling cucumbers, green beans, Chinese cabbage, cabbage (Jersey Wakefield, round head, and purple), broccoli, yellow squash, zucchini, patty pan squash, yellow patty pan squash, green onions, sweet onions, okra, turnips, turnip greens, mustard greens, bok choi, kohlrabi, cauliflower, beets, Swiss chard, carrots, English peas, sugar snap peas, radishes, acorn squash, spinach, kale, butternut squash, pumpkins, collards, cherry tomatoes, sweet corn, leeks, eggplant, oriental eggplant, brussel sprouts, field peas, red and Yukon gold potatoes.

Other Good Stuff

We also produce free-range eggs, and our own honey.

Come see us at the Downtown Cary Market. In the winter we feature our hydroponically raised lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, greens and our field-raised sweet potatoes. Look for our white van at the market on Saturdays after Thanksgiving.
